ABOUT USOur Founder Dan Cacho grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and earned a scholarship to play golf at Santa Clara University, where he studied Marketing at the Leavey School of Business. After graduating, Dan wanted to stick around the great game of golf and has been the Director for the Northern CA region of an Amateur Golf Tour ever since. Dan has organized and operated over 150 amateur golf tournaments and has held many positions in golf operations at various clubs. The combination of Dan's 'perfectionist' nature along with him running golf tournaments for the last seven years made him realize that most golf courses are not marked properly and almost all of them are not marked frequently enough. That's why he wanted to start MarkYourCourse. In Dan's eyes, a well-marked golf course not only improves its aesthetics, but it also limits confusion for the player, which results in faster play. In an age where pace of play is one of the primary factors in golfers not wanting to play as much, we believe doing everything you can to speed things up on the course is vital to the game. We think your Superintendent, Head Pro, Assistant Pro, Tournament Coordinator or whoever is currently marking your course has enough on their plate already.
